Meet Cristina and Pedro: RAH RAH’s fearless leaders. This dynamic duo is taking on every challenge, in balloons and life, together.

Thanks for stopping by! I’m Cristina, and in 2020, I created RAH RAH RAH Creative Studio with my husband, Pedro. RAH RAH RAH was born out of a need to release bubbled-up anxiety (no pun intended!) resulting in part to the COVID pandemic and also from Pedro losing his job around the same time.  Like everyone, our world stopped, shifted, and turned upside down. I continued to work remotely while simultaneously trying to engage two young, rambunctious kids and do my best to keep calm after our sudden loss of income. Rather than cook (I got tired of that about 2 weeks into the pandemic…) or run to relieve stress, I nurtured my creative instincts.  RAH RAH RAH Creative Studio honestly started as a favor for a friend, who asked that I create a balloon garland for her child’s birthday back in 2020. At the time, I was professionally frustrated, drained by mom duties, and anxious about now being our families sole income. What started as a simple favor and stress reliever, slowly transformed into RAH RAH RAH Creative Studio. 

The balloon world was completely new to Pedro, but he’s a natural!  Pedro loves connecting things and he has a fascination with determining how processes work and then explaining them to others.  He’s taken that knack and is learning how to connect the dots in the balloon industry. To expand his skills and knowledge, Pedro has taken balloon courses, watches as I build, and practices with spare balloons (while also watching football! #multi-tasking).  He runs the business side, while I run the creative side. Teamwork really does make the dream work!

With my creative spirit and Pedro’s management prowess, we continue to grow our business one client at a time. This business  has brought us closer together, inspired our entrepreneurial side, and allowed us to imagine beyond what we thought was possible. Our kids, Olivia (Oli) and Sebastian (Bashy) have also become quite the balloon aficionados! I guess you can say it’s become a family affair!

We are life-long proud Chicagoans with Mexican roots. When we’re not building, designing, and creating, you’ll find us exploring sweet home Chicago!
